For residents of St. Kitts and Nevis seeking healing that is culturally grounded, deeply personal, and wholly affirming. LGBTQ+ friendly.
Laura's approach creates space for healing that honours the fullness of who you are - your history, your identity, your culture, and your inner life. This is not a one-size-fits-all practice, but a deeply personal, evidence-based, and culturally intelligent therapeutic relationship.
Centring the whole person and recognising the deep connection between emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.
Acknowledging that identity is layered and complex. Laura's work is justice-informed and grounded in an awareness of systemic oppression and its impact on individual and collective wellness.
Drawing from diverse psychological frameworks to create a practice that is both evidence-based and deeply personal, tailored to each client's unique journey.
Rooted in both academic training and lived Caribbean experience, Laura's therapeutic lens is shaped by a rich and intentional body of knowledge:
- Caribbean history
- African-centered psychology, Black liberation psychology, and postcolonial theory
- Caribbean feminist and spiritual feminist thought, alongside global feminist perspectives
- Transpersonal and spiritual psychology
- Sex-positive frameworks
- Developmental psychology
- Social and gender advocacy
- Health psychology
As a client, you will find a therapeutic space that deeply validates your lived experience, centres cultural understanding, and honours every aspect of your being. You will not be asked to leave any part of yourself at the door.
Laura's counselling practice is currently open to residents of St. Kitts and Nevis. All sessions are held with complete confidentiality and professional care
